Location: Philadelphia, PennsylvaniaJob Type: ContractCompensation Range: $65 - 70 per hourThe UI/Visual Designer will play an active, hands-on role in crafting customer-facing commercial products and digital services. You will translate user needs into compelling product value, designing intuitive, high-engagement interfaces that drive measurable business growth. On a daily basis, you will partner closely with Creative Directors alongside cross-functional leads across sales, marketing, brand strategy, and software engineering. Your contributions will help guide the rollout of digital platforms distinguished by exceptional user journeys and refined visual elegance.Applicants must present an up-to-date portfolio highlighting recent web and mobile product work. The ideal designer flourishes within a rapid, agile development setting while maintaining meticulous craft across several concurrent workstreams. Responsibilities:

Own the end-to-end user interface: diagnose pain points, architect solutions, guide implementation strategy, and ship polished UI enhancements that elevate the overall user journey.
Craft flawless, premier visual systems and distinctive interface layouts down to the finest detail.
Consistently deliver top-tier work under demanding timelines within a fast-moving, agile workflow.
Build functional interactive prototypes for internal discovery and user research, validating design decisions through rigorous, data-backed testing.
Champion industry-standard accessibility and usability practices alongside core visual and interface design fundamentals.
Leverage deep user empathy and practical insight to propose interface features that solve genuine customer challenges.
Author clear, actionable design specs and style guides tailored for seamless developer handoff and implementation.
Partner with engineering teams during development to provide guidance, resolve blockers, and iterate on final builds.
Bring a discerning creative perspective and uncompromising attention to detail across every touchpoint.

Qualifications:

A portfolio highlighting recent e-commerce product designs is essential; prior work on mobile-responsive websites and native iOS/Android tablet or phone apps is highly advantageous.
8+ years of dedicated UI and visual design experience within an in-house product environment or top-tier digital agency.
Demonstrated success creating and scaling robust, multi-platform design systems.
Thorough technical understanding of cross-platform usability guidelines, accessibility standards, and digital UI specifications.
Practical knowledge of front-end capabilities, rendering constraints, modern browser behaviors, and email client environments.
Proven track record of guiding design initiatives from early exploratory wireframes to fully prepared production deliverables.
