Job Overview

We are looking for a freelance Experience Designer with experience in pharma advertising, marketing, or marketing communications. In this role, you will help design digital experiences for pharmaceutical clients by creating intuitive, accessible, and engaging user experiences across websites, portals, and digital ecosystems. The ideal candidate is a strong UX and visual designer who can quickly understand complex marketing assignments and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver thoughtful digital solutions.

Key Responsibilities, including but not limited to:

Partner with Art Directors, Copywriters, Strategists, Developers, and other cross-functional team members to design user-centered digital experiences and contribute to digital initiatives across a variety of clients

Support UX and web design projects from discovery and concept through launch and optimization

Translate business objectives, user needs, and content requirements into effective information architecture, user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and polished digital experiences

Present UX rationale, design concepts, and digital best practices to internal teams and, when appropriate, clients

Design responsive websites, landing pages, digital tools, and omnichannel experiences while staying current on industry trends, emerging technologies, and evolving user expectations

Create digital experiences including websites, microsites, campaign landing pages, digital resource centers, conference experiences, interactive content, and supporting digital marketing assets

Maintain a high level of attention to detail and ensure consistency across user journeys, interface components, and visual design systems

Demonstrate curiosity about clients' businesses, users, and digital experience best practices

Utilize Adobe Creative Suite and Figma to create wireframes, prototypes, interface designs, and production-ready assets

Create presentations that communicate UX strategy, user journeys, information architecture, and design recommendations to internal teams and clients

Apply brand guidelines, user needs, accessibility standards, and market considerations to digital work

Present work clearly and confidently while explaining design decisions and user experience recommendations

Incorporate feedback from creative leadership, account teams, clients, user research, and testing into iterative design solutions

Collaborate closely with creative, account, project management, strategy, content, and development teams to deliver high-quality digital experiences

Be responsible for monitoring and following through on assigned work within established timelines

Qualifications and Skills

3–5 years of related work experience in UX design, digital design, web design, advertising, marketing, or B2B marketing with a brand, digital agency, or healthcare/pharmaceutical agency

Experience designing across digital channels, including websites, landing pages, digital platforms, email experiences, online banners, and social media

Strong UX, interaction design, visual design, and problem-solving skills demonstrated through a portfolio of work

Experience creating user flows, site maps, information architecture, wireframes, prototypes, and responsive web experiences

Ability to understand complex scientific and technical information and translate it into intuitive digital experiences

Familiarity with pharmaceutical design considerations, including accessibility, claims, references, FDA requirements, and med/legal/regulatory review processes

Understanding of agency workflows, digital product development, and collaborative design processes

Ability to communicate design decisions and present ideas to internal teams and clients

Proficiency in Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat, and Google Workspace

Knowledge of accessibility standards, responsive design principles, analytics-informed design, and current web best practices preferred

As required by law in this state, the estimated hourly range for this position is $70 - $85 USD and represents our good faith estimate as to what our ideal candidates are likely to expect. We tailor our offers within the range based on organizational needs, internal equity, market data, geographic zone, and the selected candidate’s experience, education, industry knowledge, location, technical and communication skills, and other factors that may prove relevant during the selection process. At CG Life, it is not common for individuals to be hired at the higher end of the range, and compensation decisions depend on a variety of factors. This position is eligible to participate in a discretionary bonus program, subject to the rules governing the plan.
