Job Overview
As an Art Director, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and execute compelling marketing creative for our healthcare clients. You will steer the creative vision, ensure consistency across all channels, and deliver high-quality work that meets and anticipates client needs. You'll lead innovative campaigns across multiple accounts and brands, fostering inspiration and overseeing art direction, visual translation, and execution. This position reports directly to a creative director and will be part of a larger dedicated healthcare creative solutions team.
Experience in the healthcare space, with its highly regulated environment, is essential. Experience in an agency setting is preferred.
Key Responsibilities
Creative Strategy: Develop and implement creative strategies that align with clients' business goals. Understand the big picture and use that knowledge to strategically guide the programs of work assigned.
Lead Design Solutions: Lead, plan, execute, and deliver design solutions for a variety of projects: print, digital, presentation, social, video, and animation.
Team Leadership: Mentor a team of designers, copywriters, and other creative professionals, and ensure collaboration across all functions and departments.
Client Collaboration: Work closely with clients to understand their needs, provide creative solutions, and ensure satisfaction.
Presentation Skills: Confidently present creative concepts to peers, leadership, and clients.
Business Growth: Actively participate in proposal development and pitch presentations to secure new business and strengthen client relationships.
Quality Control: Review and approve all creative output to ensure it meets Cramer Health quality standards and aligns with clients' brand guidelines.
Industry Trends: Stay up to date with healthcare marketing trends and innovative strategies to keep our campaigns fresh and effective.
Requirements
3+ years of Art Director experience
12+ years of design experience
3+ years of healthcare advertising experience
BFA/BA in graphic design or similar
A portfolio showcasing creative strategy, ability, and innovation
Strong attention to detail and follow-through
Expertise and fluency in Adobe Creative Suite: InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop
Experience in quality presentation design
Understanding of UX and UI design principles
Strategic thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills
An ability to have fun while working hard in a fast-paced environment
