JOB DESCRIPTION
We are looking for talented Writers to join the #1 national cable news program, Fox & Friends and Fox & Friends First. You use creative and conversational copy to pull viewers in. You know the difference between an attention-grabbing headline and burying the lead. You are also quick to jump on breaking news and a great communicator. The writer position will entail working directly with reporters and correspondents. 

A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES  
Write VO's, VO/SOT's and reporter stories under tight deadline pressure  

Create graphics and edit video via your desktop  

Communicate critical story information with producers and managers 

Operate as a team player  

Pitch story ideas 

Conduct thorough research on top stories

WHAT YOU WILL NEED  

Major market experience 

Bachelor’s degree in journalism or a related field of study preferred, or equivalent experience 

Flexibility to work both weekend and weekday overnight hours  

Ability to write creatively for morning television  

Thorough knowledge of current events, US politics, geopolitics, foreign policy and history 

Ability to manage breaking news 

Someone who demonstrates initiative, is proactive and self-motivated

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay rate/range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is $60,000.00-70,000.00 annually. This role is also eligible for various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents. Benefits for Union represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
