What We Need:
We are looking for an experienced anchor/writer/reporter for our Georgia News Network operation. This is an exciting opportunity to apply your experience in a fast-paced environment and continue growing your skill. This position will include one or both weekend days.                                                                              
What You'll Do:
Gather and verify information through interviews, observation and research ensuring that the news reported remains objective and balanced

Monitor sources for breaking news, e.g., wires and social media

Plan, write, edit, and voice news broadcasts

Finalize content using digital audio editing software

Maintain crucial deadlines in order to provide news stories in a timely fashion

Repackage content from producers and field reporters for newscasts

Identify technical equipment and resource requirements for recording interviews and other audio material

Produce features and interviews as assigned

May specialize in a particular field of news broadcasting (e.g. political, traffic, finance or military)

Prepare written content, visual images, audio material and video footage for websites, blogs or other social-media platforms

                                                                             
What You'll Need:
Anchor newscasts for multiple markets.
Write clear, concise news copy.
Produce, edit and write content for 24/7 Newswire.
Ability and willingness to work weekends and flexible hour during the week.
Post news and video content to newsroom social media platforms.
Gather audio from press conferences, live events and partner TV stations.
Produce short-form reports (voicers/wraps) for anchors on the following shift.
May be called on to anchor breaking news reports as needed.
General newsroom responsibilities and other duties as assigned.
