Floor Plan Design & Development 
Create detailed exhibition floor plans using AutoCAD and 

 EXPOCAD, or similar CAD software 

Design booth layouts, aisle configurations, and traffic flow that maximize sellable space and improve the visitor experience 

Produce multiple plan iterations based on venue specifications and client requirements 

Ensure compliance with venue regulations, fire codes, and safety standards 

Sales Support & Coordination 
Interface with the Sales Team and Sales Operations Team on an ongoing basis to update floor plans as booths are sold, held, or reconfigured 

Provide up-to-date plans, booth availability, and space options to support client negotiations 

Coordinate with venue management to obtain accurate specifications and restrictions 

Route all floor plan communication through the Sales and Sales Ops Team, and Operations Team 

Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders such as Event Managers, the Project Management Team, Marketing, Operations, Sales and ISP Teams, and other central teams such as CRM, Admin, and Customer Service (this position does not involve customer-facing support but may be required if needed) 

Collaborate with the Marketing Team to create visually appealing floor plan presentations for print and other marketing collaterals 

Reports and Technical Documentation 
Create, update, and maintain floor plan calculations, including sellable space, gross and net floor area, and occupancy figures 

Prepare venue comparison reports covering floor area and technical details such as rigging, electrical provisions, trenches, entrance and exit gates, and temporary structures 

Produce technical drawings with precise measurements and specifications 

Prepare documentation packages for the Operations Team, contractors, and venue authorities 

Project Management 
Manage several floor plan projects at once while meeting tight deadlines 

Track revisions and maintain clear version control throughout the planning cycle 

Keep digital files organized and accessible to the wider team 

Required Qualifications 
Previous experience in the same role, with proven skills and a solid background in exhibition floor planning 

Degree in Drafting, Architecture, Interior Design, or a related field, or 2–4 years of equivalent professional experience (ideally within the exhibitions and events industry) 

Proficiency in AutoCAD: Experience designing, modifying, and managing large-scale trade show floor plans, with a strong understanding of booth layouts, numbering systems, and space optimization 

Event Mapping Automation: Demonstrated hands-on experience using EXPOCAD (or similar software) to automate layout designs, process booth split/combine requests, and manage spatial datasets for exhibitors 

Technical understanding of exhibition venues, particularly in the UAE and Saudi Arabia (familiarity with Hong Kong venues is a plus) 

Knowledge of SketchUp, Adobe Illustrator, or 3D rendering tools is an advantage 

Strong grasp of scale, measurements, and spatial relationships 

Knowledge of building codes, accessibility requirements, and venue safety regulations 

Portfolio demonstrating floor plan design and technical drawing work 

Core Competencies 
Sharp attention to detail and accuracy 

Strong communication skills, with the ability to work closely alongside sales and operations teams 

Well-organized and able to manage frequent plan changes during peak booking periods 

Calm under pressure and dependable with deadlines 

Preferred Qualifications 
Direct experience with exhibition organizers or venue operators in the GCC region 

Familiarity with event management software or floor plan booking software 

Bilingual capabilities (English essential; Arabic is a plus)
