About the Role

Liquid Death is looking for a Senior Video Producer who is ready to dive into a fast paced world and manage all things production - budgeting, accounting, administrative, crew management, scheduling, logistics.

You will be joining a small but mighty video production team and will spend your days bringing to life the craziest of crazy ideas as part of the Liquid Death marketing team. We don’t have big budgets, we don’t have big teams, but we sure do have a great time finding ways to make the seemingly impossible possible. Expect a dynamic job where you’ll be managing multiple video projects at a time and non-stop collaboration with our internal creative marketing team and external crew to find creative solutions to anything that comes up. Expect to be hands-on, from helping us manage hero cans and products, building props or setting off a squib and getting covered in fake blood. We’re shooting at least once a month, so you’ll be jumping from project to project with quick lead times and turnaround.

This person will report directly to and work closely with the Executive Producer and VP of Creative and is a contract position located in Los Angeles, CA.

Key Responsibilities:

Production Leadership

Translate creative concepts into executable production plans

Build comprehensive production schedules, timelines, budgets, and resource plans

Identify production risks early and proactively develop mitigation strategies

Foster collaborative relationships across creative teams

Production Operations

Manage production logistics including:

Location scouting

Permits

Crew scheduling

Equipment rentals

Talent coordination

Travel logistics

Call sheets

Production insurance

Deliverable tracking

Oversee post-production timelines including editing, color, audio, motion graphics, and final asset delivery

Budget & Financial Management

Maintaining accounting procedures across multiple projects

Frequent and transparent budget reporting to the Executive Producer

Partnering with the Finance department on accounting and payment procedures

Creating and maintaining production protocols, processes, and best practices

Monitoring short and long-term spending goals

Track expenditures throughout production and maintain financial accountability

Identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining creative quality

Reconcile project budgets upon completion

Project Management

Staffing and supervising teams of freelancers per project as well as booking required locations and equipment

Handling project-related logistics and bridging communication between freelancers and internal marketing team

Juggling multiple projects simultaneously while keeping cross-functional decks and documents updated

Develop standardized production workflows and documentation

Relationship Management

Maintaining long-term relationships with freelancers, vendors and suppliers for production related needs

Managing client and external-facing relationships on brand partnership projects

Build long-term strategic relationships with external partners

Facilitate alignment between creative vision and production feasibility

Lead production meetings and status updates

Communicate project progress, risks, and key decisions to stakeholders

Creative Problem Solving

Working within limited budgets and resources to come up with creative solutions alongside the internal creative team

Collaborating with key crew members to create ways to make the undoable, doable

Working collaboratively cross-functionally to optimize and improve on existing systems

Qualifications Requirements:

Education & Experience

Bachelor's degree in Film Production, Marketing, Communications, Advertising, Media Production, Business, or related field preferred

8+ years of production experience with previous work experience as a Line Producer or Production Manager experience required

3 years as a Producer required

In-house production company / agency experience preferred with familiarity of best accounting practices and budget handling

Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously through the stages of pre-production to delivery

Proven ability to operate effectively within budget constraints and established corporate processes

Proficiency in industry standard budgeting software (i.e. Hotbudget, Showbiz, Moviemagic)

Proficiency in Asana and working knowledge of Adobe CC suite preferred

Working knowledge of professional filmmaking equipment and camera systems

Familiarity with local resources in the Los Angeles market required, familiarity with other resource options in national/ international markets preferred

An almost annoying attention to detail

Deep comfort with joining a high growth start up environment that requires advanced problem solving capability and willingness to work with ambiguity and adaptability to flex to continuous improvement opportunities that present

Self-starter who can operate with real autonomy in a fast-moving, lean environment

Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint) and Google Suite (Sheets, Docs, Slides) as well as Slack

Willingness to travel up to 40% domestic travel required

Physical Work Conditions:

Occasionally lift and carry production equipment and product weighing up to 50 lbs.

Occasionally work evenings, weekends, and extended hours on production days

The typical salary range for this position is: $60.00 - $63.00 per hour
