About the Role

Monks is seeking a Senior Strategy Director, UX to lead experience strategy for one of the world's most visible technology brands.

This is a UX Strategy role—not a UX Design role. We're looking for someone who understands how large-scale web ecosystems become powerful marketing platforms. You know how to connect brand campaigns, customer journeys, information architecture, and content strategy into seamless digital experiences that support both business goals and user needs.

You'll partner closely with Creative, UX Design, Production, Client Leadership, and cross-functional teams to develop experience strategies that are both compelling and executable.

Responsibilities:

1- Strategic Narrative & Pitching

Lead the Strategic Vision: You are the lead author of strategic narratives for digital experiences. You translate complex business challenges into clear, compelling recommendations that connect customer needs, marketing objectives, and digital ecosystems.

Sell the Vision: You create persuasive strategy decks and executive presentations that inspire confidence. You can clearly articulate why a proposed experience, site architecture, or customer journey will deliver stronger business and customer outcomes.

Orchestrate the Journey: You move the conversation beyond individual pages to connected customer journeys. You define how users move across campaigns, landing pages, product experiences, and web ecosystems while ensuring the narrative remains cohesive from start to finish.

Client Leadership: You partner with Client Directors and cross-functional teams on proactive initiatives and new business opportunities. You're comfortable presenting to senior marketing and product stakeholders, facilitating strategic discussions, and confidently defending your recommendations.

2- Web Ecosystem Strategy

Marketing-Led UX: You define Information Architecture (IA), customer journeys, and content strategy through a marketing lens. Every recommendation balances user needs with business goals, brand storytelling, and conversion opportunities.

Design Connected Experiences: You think beyond individual pages to shape cohesive digital ecosystems. You ensure websites, campaigns, product launches, and content experiences work together as one unified customer journey.

Simplify Complexity: Large digital ecosystems often become fragmented over time. You identify opportunities to streamline experiences, reduce friction, and create intuitive pathways that feel seamless to customers.

Connect the Dots: You align digital experience strategy with broader marketing initiatives, product launches, and business priorities, ensuring every touchpoint contributes to a consistent brand experience.

Partner Through Execution: You collaborate closely with UX Design, Creative, Production, Engineering, and Client teams to ensure strategic intent is preserved from concept through execution.

About You

The essentials:

10+ years of experience in Digital Strategy, UX Strategy, Experience Strategy, or a closely related discipline, with significant experience leading strategy for enterprise digital experiences.

Agency DNA: You have built your career in a digital, creative, or integrated agency environment where websites and digital ecosystems are treated as core marketing channels. You understand how campaigns, content strategy, customer journeys, and brand storytelling come together to create meaningful digital experiences.

Enterprise Experience: You've developed strategy for large-scale websites or digital ecosystems serving global brands. You're comfortable navigating complex information architectures, multiple stakeholder groups, and interconnected customer journeys.

Proven Strategic Leadership: You have significant ownership of strategic thinking—from shaping recommendations and authoring strategy decks to presenting confidently to senior client stakeholders. You're comfortable leading conversations, influencing decisions, and building trust with executive audiences.

Core Skills:

Expert proficiency in Keynote and/or Google Slides—your presentations tell clear, persuasive strategic stories.

Strong expertise in Information Architecture (IA), Customer Journey Mapping, Content Strategy, and UX fundamentals, with the ability to partner closely with UX Design teams.

Ability to connect digital experience recommendations to business and marketing outcomes, including engagement, conversion, and customer satisfaction.

Excellent facilitation, presentation, and storytelling skills, with the ability to simplify complex ideas for both technical and non-technical audiences.

Comfortable collaborating across Creative, UX Design, Production, Engineering, and Client teams to bring strategic visions to life.

What We Offer:

The opportunity to shape how a globally recognized brand delivers exceptional digital experiences to millions of users.
