- Playtesting your own work and that of fellow designers to ensure quality and consistency of gameplay.
- Structuring and ordering content to onboard game concepts/mechanics, as well as providing the best variety and challenge for the games.
- Using data to inform and balance existing content and form hypotheses and direction for future content.
- Assisting the level design team with improving our content pipeline and processes.
- Supporting and collaborating with the wider team in their disciplines from a level design perspective (Production, QA, RND, Art, etc).
Requirements
- A passion for gaming, particularly casual mobile games.
- A solid grasp of design methodologies and an up-to-date knowledge of the casual mobile audience, casual game markets and player motivations.
- Proficiency in Unity (Unreal or similar acceptable), including scripting (C# preferred).
- Hands-on experience with automation and AI-powered tooling to streamline design workflows (e.g. scripting, web tooling / HTML, LLM-based tools).
- Ability to analyse player data, specifically engagement/monetisation/performance metrics, and to make informed decisions regarding status and any needed changes.
Advantages
- Experience in mobile game design/QA/development or similar field.
- A Game Design (or similar) degree.
- Experience building design or production pipelines/tooling at scale.
- Experience mentoring or upskilling designers on technical practices.
