A leading electronics manufacturing company is seeking a CAD Designer with expertise in electrical engineering and Altium Designer for a permanent position. Our client specializes in high-speed digital and power electronics design, and this role involves designing complex multi-layer PCBs, collaborating with engineers, and ensuring manufacturability. CAD Designer Responsibilities :
Design and lay out complex, multi-layer PCBs (4-16+ layers) using Altium Designer from schematic capture to production release.
Collaborate with electrical engineers to translate schematics into optimized layouts, ensuring signal, power, and thermal integrity.
Perform component placement and routing for high-speed digital, mixed-signal, and power electronic designs.
Define board stackups, impedance-controlled trace geometries, and via structures in coordination with fabricators.
Create and maintain component libraries, footprints, and schematic symbols in Altium Designer.
CAD Designer Qualifications :
5+ years of professional PCB layout experience.
Expert-level proficiency in Altium Designer (schematic capture, PCB layout, library management, output generation).
At least 3+ years of continuous experience with Altium Designer.
Strong understanding of PCB fabrication and assembly processes (SMT, through-hole, reflow, wave solder).
Experience with high-speed digital (DDR, USB, Ethernet, HDMI) and power electronics layout (DC-DC converters, motor drivers, battery management systems).
