A leading publishing company is hiring a Junior Book Designer to support their creative team. Located in our client’s office, this temp role involves working on a variety of children’s and young adult book projects. Ideal candidates will demonstrate a passion for children’s literature, strong design skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.

Junior Book Designer Responsibilities:
Collaborate with the creative team to develop original book layouts and cover designs.
Prepare interior pages and cover mechanics using Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator.
Design typography and visual elements to create engaging jackets and interior pages.
Coordinate with illustrators, photographers, and letterers, providing creative direction.
Review color proofs and attend meetings to ensure project quality and deadlines are met.
Junior Book Designer Qualifications:
Bachelor of Fine Arts degree or comparable experience.
1-3 years of graphic design experience preferred.
Strong skills in Adobe Creative Suite and print design concepts.
Excellent organizational abilities and multitasking skills.
Effective communication and collaboration skills with editors and creative staff.
