About Opportunity: Epsilon is one of the largest data-driven marketing agencies in the world, and we are currently on the lookout for a smart, highly driven, and proactive Copy editor for Auto Creative team who can be a combination of copy editor and proof reader with knowledge in creative, print, online communication design. The Copy Editor, as part of Epsilon India’s Auto Creative team, will be working on the creative materials of some of the top automotive brands in the world. You will review and edit all direct mail, email and/or interactive projects throughout the entire production/creative process to ensure quality, accuracy, and consistency of projects before release in both print and digital media. Responsibilities Manage all the content strategy projects assigned to the auto creative team Ensure the documents are error-free and impactful, with flawless language and formatting Check for grammar, punctuation, usage, format, inconsistencies and verify factual correctness of information, such as dates and statistics, and raise queries as needed Proofread at various stages of production for accurate production and presentation of all content modifications, revisions, updates, or new copy Check against backup (creative, reference) Check that all brands, products, and logos are up to date Maintain a library of up-to-date brand information for each client and product including legal information Ensure accuracy under extremely tight deadlines, with a strong work ethic toward getting tasks completed Identify process improvement opportunities and communicates them to supervisor Comfortable in leading and collaborating as an effective team member, with the ability to both work independently and take direction well Qualifications Knowledge an Skills: A passion for hunting typos and correcting grammar; incredibly detailed and organized An excellent command over the written American English language, including spelling, grammar, and usage Excellent communication skills – ability to collaborate and communicate changes/updates effectively Well-versed in latest style manual as pertains to each specific Able to create, adhere to or update relevant style guides as needed Ability to learn new programs, processes and systems quickly, and stay up to date on all required software Knowledge of standard proofreading terms and symbols Ability to handle multiple projects with changing priorities in a tight deadline driven environment Ability to utilize web research tools, such as Google, Bing and other search engines to fact check Qualification and Technical Requirements: 2-5 years of experience of copy editing/proofreading experience, preferably in an agency or publication setting working closely with print and digital projects. 3+ years of managing content strategy for design Graduate/Master’s degree in English Literature/Communication and Journalism is preferred, or a working experience in design/digital agency Work experience in Automotive, Car brands, Industrial brands and/or IT brands is a Should have worked on ‘global projects’ with cross country teams.
