Overview As a Senior Copy Editor, you are the guardian of quality, consistency, and accuracy across all content deliverables. You ensure that every piece of communication meets the highest standards of grammar, style, brand voice, and execution before publication. With exceptional attention to detail and a deep understanding of advertising and production workflows, you collaborate across creative, production, and client teams to refine content, maintain consistency, and elevate the overall quality of work. You balance precision with efficiency, helping teams deliver flawless content in a fast-paced environment while continuously identifying opportunities to improve processes and editorial standards. Responsibilities Review and edit a wide range of deliverables, including advertising materials, presentations, direct mail, out-of-home assets, print ads, digital content, emails, and marketing collateral for accuracy, consistency, and quality. Verify content against approved copy, style guides, previous creative rounds, legal requirements, and brand standards to ensure alignment across all deliverables. Ensure excellence in grammar, spelling, punctuation, syntax, tone of voice, and editorial consistency throughout all projects. Review layouts to validate copy placement, typography, formatting, line breaks, alignment, and visual consistency across print and digital executions. Partner closely with writers, designers, production artists, project managers, and other stakeholders to maintain quality standards and support seamless project execution. Identify and resolve editorial, formatting, technical, and content-related issues before final production and release. Manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing workloads and meeting deadlines while maintaining exceptional attention to detail. Stay current with evolving language standards, editorial best practices, content trends, and industry developments to continuously improve quality and effectiveness. Leverage AI-powered and digital tools to enhance editorial workflows, improve efficiency, and support content quality across production processes. Qualifications 5+ years of experience in copy editing, proofreading, content editing, quality assurance, or a related editorial role, preferably within an advertising agency, marketing, or production environment. Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Journalism, Marketing, Advertising, or a related field preferred. Exceptional command of English language, grammar, punctuation, spelling, and editorial standards. Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify inconsistencies, errors, and opportunities for improvement across complex deliverables. Solid understanding of advertising production workflows across digital, print, and integrated campaigns. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Creative Cloud, and online proofing/review platforms such as Workfront or ProofHQ. Excellent organizational, communication, critical thinking, and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively. Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within multidisciplinary teams. Experience working with AI-enabled editorial or content production tools is a plus. 5+ years of experience in copy editing, proofreading, content editing, quality assurance, or a related editorial role, preferably within an advertising agency, marketing, or production environment.
