About this role
Quilt is looking for a junior to mid-level visual designer with a sharp eye and a penchant for wearing many hats (figuratively, but literally is fine too). This is a full-time role and an opportunity to help grow and shape our brand across platforms and audiences.
Quilt is turning heat pumps into a coveted category, and our visual identity is one of the defining aspects of our young brand ( example & example ). You’ll be contributing to content and experiences that align with our marketing and product strategies, and help us stand out in a category that’s overdue for a visual overhaul.
Who you’ll work with: a small and mighty design team that collaborates cross-functionally with the entire Quilt org — from marketing and sales to hardware and everything in between — to drive customer and partner-focused designs that cohesively communicate our brand message and values.
What you’ll do
Support design projects from concept to completion across platforms and mediums, including social, paid media, digital, print, and video
Collaborate with marketing, partner success, UX, and product to develop and design multi-channel marketing campaigns, including some fun social content
Review co-branded marketing materials from partners nationwide and provide actionable feedback to align with Quilt’s brand guidelines and visual standards
Help maintain and grow our brand guidelines, ensuring consistent implementation across channels
Contribute to brand strategy as our visual identity continues to evolve across a budding product ecosystem
You qualify if you have
2 - 5 years of professional design experience
A strong portfolio showcasing visual design skills across mediums — quality of work matters more than years of experience
Exceptional attention to detail: pixel-perfect execution, consistency, and craft are central to this role
Strong core design skills — typography, layout, color, and composition
Familiarity with brand guidelines and design systems
Experience designing across marketing channels such as web, email, and social
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with a cross-disciplinary team
Experience working in print — you know the difference between bleed and crop marks, rich black and true black
Experience with video and photo editing is a plus
You’ll thrive in this role if you
Sweat the small stuff — you notice when something is 2px off and it bothers you
Are scrappy, thrive in a fast-paced startup environment, and adapt quickly to changing priorities
Delight in being fast and flexible in early design stages, and precise and polished at the finish line
Are radically learning-focused, with a growth mindset and eagerness to improve your craft
Love to experiment with new techniques, tools, and technologies
Would like to fight climate change AND make beautiful things
This is a full-time, hybrid position, with three (3) days per week in our Redwood City office.
The annual anticipated base salary range for U.S. candidates for this role is $95,000 - 115,000, depending on experience.
Employees hired into this role on a full-time basis are eligible to participate in Quilt’s standard benefit programs, which currently include medical, dental, and vision benefits, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and certain leaves of absence.
