Our client in the entertainment industry is seeking a Technical Policy Writer to support a large-scale documentation initiative. This remote contract role will focus on developing, documenting, and maintaining technical policies, procedures, process documentation, and standard operating procedures (SOPs) related to a recently implemented SAP S/4HANA environment.This position is ideal for a writer who can translate complex business and technical processes into clear, user-friendly documentation for both technical and non-technical audiences. The successful candidate will partner with finance, accounting, operations, IT, and business stakeholders to capture current-state processes, identify best practices, and create standardized documentation that supports consistency, compliance, and operational efficiency.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop, write, edit, and maintain technical policies, procedures, SOPs, process maps, job aids, and training documentation.Interview subject matter experts and business stakeholders to gather requirements and document business processes.Translate complex SAP S/4HANA workflows into clear, concise, and easy-to-follow documentation.Create and standardize documentation templates, process narratives, and procedural guides.Review existing documentation and update content to reflect current processes and system functionality.Organize and maintain documentation repositories, ensuring materials remain current and accessible.Collaborate with accounting, finance, operations, IT, and project teams to ensure policies and procedures align with business objectives.Support change management and user adoption efforts related to system and process updates.Ensure documentation is consistent, accurate, and compliant with internal standards and controls.
Hourly rate: $35–$45
