This is your chance to join a new digital studio from the outset, backed by Sony and the mindset of a modern digital media company.
This role is based in Paddington, London, and is initially a 12-month fixed-term contract starting in January 2027.

The Role:
We’re looking for a skilled and creative Editor to join Sony's new Digital Studio, working across a broad range of digital-first content.

You’ll edit engaging, high-quality content across long-form YouTube and short-form social platforms, bringing strong storytelling instincts, technical expertise and an understanding of what makes audiences watch, engage and come back for more.

Working closely with the wider creative and production team, you’ll take projects from rushes through to finished edits, contributing ideas and creative solutions throughout the process. You’ll have the opportunity to work across new formats, creators and platforms as the Digital Studio grows and evolves.

What You’ll Do:

Content Editing
Edit long-form YouTube videos and short-form social content to a high creative and technical standard.
Create platform-native edits for social channels including TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and Snap.
Take ownership of assigned edits from rushes through to final delivery, working to agreed creative briefs, schedules and production requirements.

Contribute constructive ideas and feedback to help elevate the quality of the Digital Studio’s output.
Work collaboratively with other editors and freelance talent when required.

Quality Assurance
Maintain strong organisational standards across live projects, including project files, rushes, media and version management.
Follow the Digital Studio’s agreed workflows, naming conventions and post-production practices.
Work with the production team to ensure projects are delivered accurately, efficiently and on schedule.
Prepare and deliver finished content to the required technical specifications.
Support the effective management and archiving of project media in collaboration with Production and IT.
Carry out appropriate quality checks on your own work prior to delivery.

Proficient knowledge of After Effects, with the ability to incorporate motion graphics and visual treatments into edits.
Demonstrable experience editing for YouTube, with a strong portfolio showcasing both long-form and short-form digital content.
