PEOPLE EXPERIENCE GRAPHIC DESIGN & COMMUNICATIONS TRAINEE
Our Emerging Talent Programs, which include Interns and Trainees, offer unique opportunities for students, recent graduates, and emerging talent to work alongside the teams that come together to create movies, TV shows, and other great experiences. These seasonal, paid assignments provide meaningful and productive work that allows you to build on your experience and develop your skills further. You will be provided with challenging tasks, real-world experience, and many educational and social networking opportunities. All candidates must be able to work 40 hours a week, Monday through Friday in the specified location.
This is not a remote role; a hybrid work option may or may not be available.
We’re looking for a creative and detail-oriented Graphic Design & Communications Trainee to join our People Experience Strategy team. This role is ideal for someone passionate about visual storytelling, workplace culture, and designing content and compelling visuals that attract, engage, and retain talent for a leading entertainment studio!
RESPONSIBILITIES
Support a wide range of written and visual communications to support the People Experience Strategy team’s key objectives, priorities, and initiatives
Design graphics for internal communications, recruitment campaigns, project materials, and employee engagement initiatives
Assist in developing employer branding campaigns that highlight Sony Pictures’ culture, values, and employee experience
Create visual assets for career sites, LinkedIn, newsletters, digital signage, internal presentations, and other employee-facing channels.
Participate in creating and reviewing training materials and documentation to support change management activities
Collaborate with People Experience and Talent Acquisition teams to ensure brand consistency
Support the creation of templates and design systems for scalable content
Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute fresh ideas to elevate our visual identity
Occasional event coordination/support and general administrative duties (maintaining brand book, file management, project tracking, etc.)
QUALIFICATIONS
Degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, Marketing, or related field; in lieu of a degree, 4 years of relevant work experience
Understanding of typography, color theory, layout, and branding
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) or equivalent design tools
Ability to balance personal style with corporate branding guidelines
Interest in employer branding, workplace culture, and people communications
Ability to multitask and prioritize competing priorities
Ability to maintain sensitive/confidential information
Excellent written communication skills and a collaborative mindset
Passion for entertainment, with an eye for what resonates with diverse audiences
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience with motion graphics or video editing tools (e.g., After Effects, Premiere Pro)
Familiarity with collaborative design platforms
Photography skills a plus
Knowledge of social media trends and employer branding best practices

The anticipated base salary for this position is $22.00/hr. This role may also qualify for comprehensive benefits. The actual base salary offered will depend on a variety of factors, including without limitation, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and if applicable, the location of the position.
