The pay range is $95,000.00 - $171,000.00

PRIMARY FUNCTION  

The Product Content Category Lead will serve a key role in   Digital   Strategy at Target.  This position will have ownership over   the   Product Content Strategy for a category,   including:   product   copy   and features , image direction, video   production ,   user generated and social content, review seeding , rich media   integration , as well as defining and managing 3 rd   party Content Provider contracts and relationships within their category.   

PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES  

Lead PDP content strategy for an assigned pyramid, ensuring guest-first, on-brand content that drives conversion and meets quality and compliance standards.   

Partner with key internal brand stakeholders (Product Design & Development, Owned Brand Management, Creative, Site Merchandising, Merchandising, and Item capabilities)   to create category-relevant Item content.  

Manage relationships with   external Merch vendor partners, and 3 rd   party content providers to identify new content capabilities   and optimize performance.   

S cale content through strong workflows,   tools,   and budget management.  

Images /video : benchmark competitive landscape to understand relevant photography style , integrating   u ser   g enerated   and social   c ontent needed to create the best guest experience.  

Features & Long-Copy: Collaborate with internal partners to identify important product attributes for use in long-copy and feature content on PDP.  Implement the best format for copy and feature content based on category needs   to drive SEO/AEO .  

Vendor Negotiations (3 rd   Party Content Providers): Work with relevant 3 rd   party data   and content   providers, partnering to align services provided, contract pricing, contract negotiations and relationship management.   

Product Title: Understand   External   and Internal search trends to advocate for improved Product Title work within the Item team.    

Working with the Product Content Planner, develop goals for product content coverage and conversion impact that reflect best-in-category content positioning for the digital channel.  

 

REPORTING/WORKING RELATIONSHIPS  

Reports to Director, Product Content  

 

About You:  

Four-year college degree with focus in business, marketing, editorial/creative, or related field preferred.  

5-10 +   years experience within Product Content, Marketing, Site Merchandising, Item or Merchandising  

Digital, e-commerce experience highly preferred  

Proven leadership and decision-making skills  

Strong partner relationship skills  

Strong planning and organization skills  

Assertiveness and strong initiative to drive change  

Strong detail orientation with high degree of accuracy  

Ability to be flexible, adapt quickly and work with ambiguit y  

Strong creative problem solving skills  

Strong communication, presentation skills  

Strong execution skills, self-motivated, able to set work plans and prioritize  

Self-starter and able to thrive in a highly dynamic environment  

This position will operate as a Hybrid/Flex for Your Day work arrangement based on Target’s needs. A Hybrid/Flex for Your Day work arrangement means the team member’s core role will need to be performed both onsite at the Target HQ MN location the role is assigned to and virtually, depending upon what your role, team and tasks require for that day.
