The Local Project is one of Australia’s leading architecture and design media platforms. Across our website, video content, social channels, quarterly print magazine and annual hardcover publications, we celebrate thoughtful design, great craftsmanship, and the people behind the work. Design is at the core of what we do, and we take great pride in our visual identity.

As Graphic Designer, you’ll work closely with our Design Director, Senior Designers and wider creative team to develop and execute designs for a variety of projects shaping how our stories and campaigns look, feel and connect with our audience as well as providing design work for our client base across the architecture and design community.

Some of your key responsibilities will include:
Designing editorial layouts and campaign pages for our quarterly print magazine and hardcover books.
Creating digital assets for social media, eDMs, website content, and digital campaigns.
Collaborating with the Partnerships team to create client-facing creative.
Client design briefs.
Preparing artwork for both print and digital channels, adhering to brand and technical guidelines.
Contributing to a consistent and elevated visual experience across all touchpoints.

What you’ll bring:
3–5+ years’ experience as a graphic designer in a similar creative role, creative agency or studio experience preferred but not essential.
Confidence using Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop and Figma.
After Effects & Premiere Pro experience preferred but not essential.
An exceptional eye for details layout balance, and visual storytelling.
Capacity to juggle multiple projects, meet deadlines and adapt to changing priorities without compromising quality.
Proactiveness and clarity in creative decision making.
Ability to receive and implement constructive feedback.
Passion for design and architecture.
A strong portfolio showcasing a variety of design projects that demonstrate your creativity, technical skill and attention to detail.
