About Ludios

Ludios takes its name from Latin; it means "The Game People". Led by Eyal, one of the co-founders of Tripledot Studios, and some of the most experienced people in mobile games, we are a studio that makes and publishes our own casual, free-to-play mobile games. Our team is based across APAC, with the majority of our development happening in Jakarta and Melbourne. We are data-driven, creative, and genuinely passionate about the industry we work in. Right now, we are working on a number of exciting projects, including one built around a globally recognised IP, alongside several original titles we are equally excited about. Role Overview

We’re looking for a talented and skilled UX Designer to join our team and help create engaging and intuitive experiences for our next big hit.

As a UX Designer, you will work closely with the Lead UX Designer and the wider game development team to design and improve features throughout the game. You will be responsible for translating feature requirements into clear user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and interaction solutions.

The role will involve working primarily in Figma, creating Lo-Fi wireframes, user flows, flowcharts, and state machines when necessary. You will also research and analyze competitors' games to understand existing UX patterns and adapt relevant ideas to our game.

You will join the team at an important stage as we continue to build and evolve our UX team and processes. This is an opportunity for someone who wants to have a meaningful impact on the player experience while developing their skills and taking ownership of features over time.

Key Responsibilities

Provide engaging, intuitive, and functional UX solutions for new and existing game features.

Work closely with the Lead UX Designer to understand requirements, identify UX problems, and develop appropriate solutions.

Translate game and product requirements into clear user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and interaction designs.

Create Lo-Fi and Mid-Fi wireframes in Figma to quickly explore and communicate UX solutions.

Create flowcharts and state machines when necessary to communicate complex feature logic, player states, and interactions.

Break down complex features into clear user journeys, states, interactions, and edge cases.

Analyze how new features interact with existing game systems and ensure a consistent player experience.

Research and analyze competitor games to understand how similar features and experiences are designed.

Identify useful UX patterns from competitor products and adapt them appropriately to our game's needs rather than simply replicating them.

Iterate on designs based on feedback from the Lead UX Designer, game designers, product team, playtesting, and other stakeholders.

Design and optimize gameplay and feature flows so that players can easily understand, navigate, and interact with the game.

Consider different player states, edge cases, and scenarios when designing features.

Collaborate closely with Game Design, Product, UI, Art, and Engineering teams to ensure UX solutions are practical and technically feasible.

Maintain organized and understandable UX documentation and Figma files.

Contribute to improving the team's UX processes, patterns, and best practices.

Required Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

Professional experience in UX Design within the Games industry, preferably mobile games.

A portfolio demonstrating completed UX projects and a strong understanding of interaction design.

Strong understanding of UX fundamentals, user flows, information architecture, and interaction design.

Ability to break down complex features into clear flows, states, and interactions.

Good working knowledge of Figma, particularly for wireframing, prototyping, and creating user flows.

Experience creating Lo-Fi and Mid-Fi wireframes and interactive prototypes.

Ability to create flowcharts and state diagrams/state machines when required.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Ability to analyze competitor games and identify relevant UX patterns and opportunities.

Ability to explain and communicate the reasoning behind UX decisions.

Comfortable receiving feedback and iterating on designs.

Good understanding of casual game UX and player behavior.

Good knowledge of and passion for casual/mobile games.

Strong communication and collaboration skills.
