The Manager, Multimedia Content, Live Video Streaming & Programming will lead TelevisaUnivision Local Media's live video strategy and programming across YouTube, Facebook, TikTok, and emerging platforms. This role will lead a team responsible for live production, digital video, and social content, while overseeing programming strategy, content execution, audience growth, and monetization. The Manager will combine strong editorial judgment, digital expertise, and operational leadership to develop engaging, culturally relevant content that connects with Latino audiences across the U.S.

YOUR DAY-DAY:
Strategy, Programming & Team Leadership
Lead the Local Media live video and multimedia content strategy, aligning programming with audience growth, engagement, and monetization goals.
Lead, mentor, and develop a team of social media editors, video producers, and livestreaming specialists, establishing clear priorities, workflows, and performance expectations.
Develop and manage a dynamic programming calendar for digital-first live content and related Video on Demand (VOD) assets, adapting programming to breaking news, cultural moments, and audience interests.
Monitor digital video trends, platform developments, audience insights, and competitive activity to continuously evolve programming and content strategy.
Partner with editorial, marketing, PR, sales, and other stakeholders to ensure coordinated content execution and cross-platform promotion.
Live Content Production & Execution
Oversee the production of compelling live programming, including breaking news, interviews, special events, community programming, and other original content.
Establish rapid-response workflows and production capabilities to quickly activate live coverage around breaking news and high-priority stories.
Ensure content is editorially sound, culturally relevant, visually engaging, and tailored to Latino audiences across the U.S.
Build relationships with journalists, newsmakers, creators, and other talent to develop compelling programming and expand audience reach.
Audience Growth & Platform Optimization
Develop strategies to increase discoverability, viewer retention, engagement, and audience growth across platforms.
Optimize titles, descriptions, thumbnails, SEO, metadata, calls-to-action, and other platform-specific elements to maximize performance.
Incorporate cross-promotion within live streams through slates, lower-thirds, and calls-to-action that drive audiences to other Local Media content, digital products, and platforms.
Establish and maintain community engagement and moderation standards that foster safe, inclusive, and active live audiences.
Performance, Analytics & Monetization
Establish and monitor key performance indicators, including concurrent viewers, watch time, engagement, audience growth, and monetization.
Use performance data and audience insights to make programming decisions and continuously improve content strategy.
Partner with video and social teams to maximize the value of live content by repurposing streams into short-form clips, reels, and long-form VOD content.
Identify opportunities to increase revenue and monetization through programming, audience growth, partnerships, and platform capabilities.
YOU HAVE:
Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications, Media, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
5+ years of experience in digital video, live streaming, social media, digital programming, or multimedia content production.
Strong knowledge of YouTube, Facebook, TikTok, and other emerging video platforms, including platform-specific best practices.
Strong understanding of audience development, content optimization, SEO, algorithms, and social engagement strategies.
Experience developing and managing a programming calendar or content grid across multiple platforms.
Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven news or media environment, including rapid-response coverage.
Strong editorial judgment with the ability to identify compelling, culturally relevant content for Latino audiences.
Experience using audience analytics and performance data to make programming and content decisions, including KPIs such as watch time, concurrent viewers, engagement, and audience growth.
Excellent communication, organizational, and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and productions simultaneously.
Bilingual English/Spanish preferred, with strong understanding of U.S. Hispanic/Latino audiences and cultural trends.
