This role is suited to someone with 5+ years of experience who can independently own significant UX activities within a workstream, while collaborating with senior leads on larger or more complex initiatives. It is not a people-management role, but it does include supporting junior designers through feedback, collaboration, and best-practice sharing.
The role operates across three core dimensions: Thinking, Interaction, and Storytelling.

Plan and conduct research and validation activities such as interviews, usability testing, heuristic reviews, and competitive analysis, to understand user behaviors, needs, and pain points.

Advocate for user needs and support evidence-based decisions throughout the design process.
Interactive: IA, Flows & Experience Design
Translate user needs, business objectives, and technical constraints into user journeys, information architecture, screen flows, wireframes, and prototypes.
Design interaction patterns that improve usability, accessibility, findability, and task completion, contributing to scalable design systems and UX frameworks.
Collaborate with visual designers and developers to translate the UX direction clearly into design and implementation.
Set foundations for a design system and help visual design document the interface to pixel-perfection.
Storytelling: Narrative & Content Design
Shape user-centered narratives and content hierarchies that align business goals, brand ambition, and user needs, translating research insights into compelling journeys and experience concepts.
Contribute to UX writing and interface content where appropriate — navigation labels, calls to action, onboarding, microcopy, form guidance, and instructional content.
Partner with copywriters, content strategists, brand teams, and creative disciplines to craft cohesive experiences that help users understand products, services, and value propositions.
Leverage AI & Emerging Design Practices as part of the craft
Apply and experiment with h ands-on experience using AI-enabled tools (such as Figma, ChatGPT, Claude, etc.) to support research synthesis, ideation, prototyping, content exploration, and documentation.
You will critically evaluate AI-generated outputs and decide when they are useful, appropriate, and aligned with project needs.
Approach the use of AI with balanc e, speed, quality, ethics, originality, and human judgment in design work.
Explore emerging technologies and how they can improve UX practice.
Collaboration & Delivery
Partner with product, strategy, technology, and client stakeholders throughout the design process.
Present UX rationale, concepts, and recommendations clearly and confidently.
Participate in workshops, design critiques, and collaborative working sessions.
